1. How do DiscBinders® differ from the CD-ROMs of other document imaging companies?
DiscBinders® differ from the CD-ROMs of other document imaging companies in almost every respect. Through years of experience producing only one product, DiscBinder®, we have developed what we believe is the most functional and practical CD-ROM package for the storage of legal documents. We use the highest quality CD-ROMs, printers, paper, DVD cases as well as leading software and equipment to produce a premium product. From our experience as transactional attorneys, we have developed a format based on the Adobe platform that allows law firms and their clients easy access to all of their documents in every phase, including loading, printing, e-mailing, saving, searching and reviewing the document index. In addition, we have the ability to encrypt our DiscBinders® with restricted or limited access should any client need to distribute them in connection with a due diligence project.
2. How does your service differ from other document imaging companies?
Our service differs from other document imaging companies from the moment we receive your binder. Each client is assigned to a project manager who confirms receipt of all binders via e-mail. Throughout the process, the project manager will assist you with respect to your binder, including answering any follow-up questions, e-mailing you regarding any missing documents or pages, coordinating distributions to third parties, or providing you with a proof of your DiscBinder® disc.
3. Will you customize a DiscBinder®?
Of course, one of the advantages of working with ClosingBinders.com is that through our experience we understand that many law firms and clients have unique servers, intranets and extranets. We often customize a DiscBinder® to meet a client’s specifications at no extra charge and to date we have not received a particular technical request that we could not accommodate. We have the ability to service the document imaging needs of all clients.
4. What is your turn-around time?
Our turn-around time is generally one week. Upon request and to the extent that our work-flow permits, we will make every effort to provide 2-3 day service at no additional charge. We also offer 24-hour service for a nominal charge.
5. How many inches are in 1000 pages?
Generally, one inch of paper is approximately 225-250 pages, depending on whether tabs and other slip sheets are included. Thus, our standard pricing typically covers all binders of five inches or less.
6. Can you scan surveys?
Yes, we have a standard commercial survey scanner which can reduce all surveys to a pdf format. Scanned pdfs can be later reproduced as full-sized surveys by us or any qualified commercial printer.
7. Can I update a DiscBinder® at a later date with additional documents?
Yes, whether you need to replace certain documents or add new documents to an existing DiscBinder® (including new indexes), we provide both types of service for a nominal charge.
8. Do you provide related services such as copying documents, velo-binding and leather bound binders?
Yes.
9. Do you offer discounts from your standard pricing?
Yes, we will provide discounts from our standard pricing for large volume projects, including archiving projects.
10. Do you have a sample DiscBinder®?
Yes, we have sample a DiscBinder® based on a fictitious transaction. If you would like to receive one, please e-mail your contact information to us at info@closingbinders.com.
